Today marks Lincoln’s tenth day with wacky, European-influenced multilane roundabouts and last time we checked (just a couple minutes ago) they had yet to produce any crashes, collisions, calamities or catastrophes. Hooray!
That said, we at HaymarketNOW! must admit that we tapped our brakes a time or two during our first trip through the double roundabouts. The reason? We expected the roundabouts to slow our travel down quite a bit. To our surprise, they didn't. In fact, one of our passengers felt the roundabouts made navigating the area north of Memorial Stadium significantly easier! Huh, looks like those Europeans are onto something. Y’know, maybe we should rethink this whole ‘soccer thing’ while we’re at it…
