Councilwoman Jayne Snyder
1945 – 2011
“Some people don’t realize the true meaning it (Pinnacle Bank Arena) has for me, because I put a lot of hours into it…I know I won’t make it to the first opening, but I very much can dream and think about the first show and the first opening of the arena.” – Jayne Snyder
We at HaymarketNOW! send our deepest condolences to the family of Councilwoman Jayne Snyder who passed away last evening following her battle with pancreatic cancer.
A civic leader and prominent supporter of the West Haymarket Redevelopment Project, Snyder served on the Lincoln City Council from 2009 to 2011. In May of 2010, Snyder was selected by her peers to represent the City Council on the West Haymarket Joint Public Agency (JPA), a position she accepted with great excitement and pride. Serving as JPA Board Chair, Snyder played a central role in the primary stages of the West Haymarket redevelopment and Pinnacle Bank Arena construction.
Thank you for your tireless devotion to the City of Lincoln and its citizens. You will be greatly missed.
